PAWB Wales | Play Therapy

The Play Therapy Service is provided by Stepping Stones who work therapeutically with children aged between 3-16 years who have had a variety of difficult life experiences.

These include:

  • Children who are sad, anxious or angry
  • Children who have experienced loss, bereavement, or family breakdown
  • Children or their siblings who have experienced illness
  • Children who have low self-esteem or confidence
  • Children who have developmental delay or Children with a learning disability

We use Play Therapy to help children explore their feelings and make sense of their life experiences through a Child-Centred approach. Conventional talking therapies may be inappropriate for children and young people who struggle to put their feelings into words. Play Therapy allows children the opportunity to explore and understand these feelings in a safe therapeutic environment.

A fully qualified BAPT-registered Play Therapist from Stepping Stones works on site at PAWB Wales.
