Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA)

Behaviour analysis is a therapeutic approach with a wealth of scientific evidence demonstrating its effectiveness in treating the behavioural challenges associated with a wide range of disorders, including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and conduct disorder.

Behaviour analysts focus on understanding how one’s interactions with the environment influence behaviour, as well as designing effective interventions to help people learn appropriate behaviours and increase their success across a range of life domains. Behaviour analysts can also train and support parents, teachers, and service providers in the implementation of evidence-based practices for improving challenging behaviour.

The professional body associated with regulation of behaviour analysts around the world is the Behaviour Analysis Certification Board, which sets stringent professional standards with regard to training behaviour analysts and delivering services. All clinical services are delivered or closely supervised by Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs).
